I lived a life of sexual abuse, rejection, shame, condemnation, and despair. I kept my past buried deep inside until God let me know it was time to take the bandage off the wound. Most of us do our best to suppress and block our hurts and fears in whatever way will mask the pain. However, God’s will for our lives is so much better! He desires complete wholeness for each of us with nothing missing and nothing broken. One of the hardest times of my life was allowing God to remove my bandage. I found myself through one circumstance or another stripped of everything and everyone. There was no person that I could depend on and everything that I thought I knew about God came into question. God kept asking me the question, “Do you trust me?” Sadly, I knew the answer to the question was no, but the lessons I would learn changed my answer as well as my life forever.

I allowed God to take a scalpel to my heart and lay it open to see all that was inside. I felt completely without hope as I surveyed the mess. I knew that all of the ugliness that I discovered needed to be handed over to my merciful and loving Father. Some of the ugliness was from the wounds others inflicted upon me and some were from my own choices. It was only in God’s hands that I found healing and HOPE!

God’s desire for me and for YOU is to be free. We are no longer to be burdened by wounds from our past. We have all been created for a purpose that is found in Him. God sent his son, Jesus, to take away the sins of the world and give us an abundant LIFE! We just have to have the courage to take that step toward Him knowing that His heart is toward us and filled with an everlasting love for us.

It is my heart’s desire to show you the Father’s heart. I want you to be transformed by the truth of God’s living and powerful word. Let the light of His truth shine in your heart and break the chains that have held you back from reaching your destiny.
